ElektroG (German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act)

  1. Separate Collection of Old Devices Old electronic and electrical devices that have reached the end of their lifecycle are classified as waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Owners of such old devices are responsible for ensuring their separate collection from unsorted household waste. These old devices should be returned to designated collection systems or return systems, and should not be disposed of with household trash.

  2. Batteries, Accumulators, and Lamps Owners of old devices must remove batteries, accumulators, and lamps, where possible, before disposing of the device. These components should also be collected separately and disposed of in line with applicable regulations. Exceptions may apply if devices are prepared for reuse under public waste management authorities.

  3. Return Options for Old Devices As a manufacturer, SoluM Europe GmbH offers customers the opportunity to return their old electrical devices for proper disposal. We work with certified waste management companies to ensure the correct handling and environmentally friendly disposal of old devices. For inquiries regarding the disposal of commercial electronic devices, please contact us directly.

  4. Data Protection Notice Old electronic devices often contain personal data. It is the responsibility of the owner to securely delete personal data from any devices being returned for disposal.

  5. Meaning of the "Crossed-out Wheelie Bin" Symbol The symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin indicates that the device must be collected separately from household waste at the end of its lifecycle.

  6. Manufacturer Registration Number As a manufacturer under ElektroG, we are registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (EAR) under the following number: WEEE-Reg.-Nr. DE83023477.

VerpackG (Packaging Act)

Obligations under the Packaging Act (§15 VerpackG) Under the German Packaging Act (VerpackG), we are legally obligated to take back the following packaging materials from consumers free of charge:

Transport packaging: Packaging designed to facilitate the handling and transport of goods, such as pallets and large containers, which are typically not passed on to end consumers. Sales and secondary packaging: Packaging that does not typically become waste for private consumers. Sales packaging of harmful goods: Packaging that contains hazardous substances. Reusable packaging: Packaging designed for multiple uses, usually supported by an incentive system (such as a deposit scheme). If any of the above packaging materials are used during the delivery of a product, we will take back this packaging free of charge and ensure its proper recycling in accordance with EU Directive 94/62/EC.

Consumers can return packaging materials to the place where they received the product or in close proximity. Please contact us for more information regarding the return and recycling of packaging materials.
